British regulators say they don’t need to open a competition investigation into Microsoft’s partnership with French artificial intelligence company Mistral, a month after asking for industry feedback

The U.K. Competition and Markets Authority cleared Microsoft’s partnership with Mistral AI. The U.K. regulator said Friday that the deal doesn’t qualify for investigation under the Enterprise Act 2002. The CMA said in April that it was seeking third party comments into partnerships between tech and AI companies including Microsoft and Amazon.
