Netflix has just added a new thriller with an Irish cast so starry it’s been likened to the country’s equivalent of the Avengers movies. It also heralds the welcome big screen return for an iconic Game of Thrones villain, who shunned the spotlight after leaving the hit show back in 2014.

Netflix fans are saying the same thing about Liam Neeson's new movie, which recently landed on the streaming service. In the Land of Saints and Sinners, directed by Robert Lorenz, is set in 1970s Ireland and also stars Oscar nominee Kerry Condon,

The film 'In the Land of Saints and Sinners,' released recently on Netflix, focuses on the life of former assassin Finbar Murphy (played by Liam Neeson), who resides in a quiet Irish coastal town, seeking to escape his dark history.

The Irish thriller, which was previously released in US cinemas, is available now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland, and looks to be another winner for the Taken star – sitting at 82% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
