CDC finds drowning deaths on the rise in the U.S.
According to the CDC, drowning is the leading cause of death for U.S. children aged 1-4. There was a 28% increase in drowning deaths reported in this age group in 2022 compared to 2019. The study noted that approximately one-half (54.7%) of U.S. adults reported never having taken a swimming lesson.
