HARDINESS ZONE.3-9 GROW.Use a sterile seed mix and place the seeds on the surface of the soil. Keep in a bright location, and keep moist until germination, and until seedlings are established. Seeds germinate in approximately 15 days. WHEN TO PLANT.Sown directly into the ground in late May / early June or under cover in January / February. CARE.Performs best in full sun or part shade,in fertile,well-drained soils.Water regularly during the growing season.Drought tolerant, once established. USE.Perfect addition to beds and borders or containers. Noted for its brilliant foliage, Zonal Geranium is a bushy, evergreen, tender perennial with large, rounded, golden-yellow leaves adorned with striking chestnut patterns. From early summer to frost, clusters of single, salmon-pink flowers are nicely set off by the sumptuous foliage. Combined with their brightly-hued leaves, the effect is truly breathtaking. A famous heirloom variety dating back to 1880, that is perfect for borders and containers. Most cranesbill varieties grow well in normal garden soil, preferably rich in humus. The cranesbill spreads with underground rhizomes. It is advisable to divide the pollen regularly, so that they stay in place. This also rejuvenates them and makes them bloom extra profusely. Lift up a large clump and carefully divide the plant into smaller pieces. Now cut off all the leaves. This helps the plant because less moisture can now evaporate. Plant a smaller part back and give plenty of water, the clump will now sprout again quickly. The pieces you have left are a nice gift for a garden friend.
