This 2-CD set of Jrvi's symphonic poems is a great addition to any music collection. It features a grand lushness and vivid colour, with orchestral works that are more aggressive than the original recordings. The Scottish National Orchestra and Neeme Jrvi deliver excellent performances, with the latter's readings of the works being more deliberate than usual. The recordings are also well-received, with many praising the quality of the music.
